Cavite police support local farmers through Kadiwa ng Pangulo

CITY OF IMUS, Cavite (PIA) — As part of its efforts to support food security and promote local produce, the Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) hosted another round of the “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” selling program at Camp BGen. Pantaleon Garcia in Imus City on Tuesday, October 14.

The initiative brought together various sectors to promote direct market access for local farmers, fisherfolk, and small-scale entrepreneurs, while providing affordable fresh produce and essential goods to the community.

Serving as guest of honor and delivering the keynote address on behalf of Cavite Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer Ms. Lerene M. Jimeno was Mr. Jose Alfonso O. Villanueva, Agriculturist I from the Department of Agriculture Region IV-A. Villanueva emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in achieving food sufficiency and inclusive economic growth.

P/Col. Ariel R. Red, Acting Provincial Director of the Cavite PPO, also expressed his strong support for the initiative, highlighting the police force’s role in advancing community welfare beyond traditional law enforcement.

“The KNP Store established at the Cavite PPO serves as a testament to the Philippine National Police’s commitment to supporting national development goals through meaningful community programs,” he said.

Various PNP personnel, representatives from partner agencies, and community stakeholders attended the event, which featured a market showcasing local produce and goods.

Red added that beyond its immediate economic benefits, the event underscores the PNP’s broader mission of fostering sustainable development, strengthening local economies, and empowering marginalized sectors through strategic partnerships.

“By championing initiatives like the Kadiwa ng Pangulo, the Cavite PPO affirms its dual role as both a guardian of peace and a proactive partner in nation-building,” he stressed. (RBF, PIA CAVITE)
