DOLE, NGO partner to implement livelihood projects in Calabarzon

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna (PIA) — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Calabarzon has partnered with the Yunnielove Foundation for the implementation of ₱75 million worth of livelihood programs across the region.

According to DOLE Calabarzon, the livelihood programs to be implemented include rice retailing, carpentry, garment production, and dishwashing projects, aiming to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for workers, families, and associations across Calabarzon.

“Founded in 2023, the Yunnielove Foundation initially carried out feeding programs for malnourished children in urban slum areas, later expanded to medical missions in 2024, and eventually launched its Livelihood Program in July 2024,” DOLE 4A said in a statement.

It added that the non-government organization has established a track record of providing holistic interventions that address hunger, health, and livelihood needs in disadvantaged communities.

Meanwhile, Regional Director Erwin Aquino assured the public that these livelihood projects will be carried out with “utmost transparency and accountability, underscoring the agency’s commitment to ensuring that funds are properly managed, liquidated, and monitored at every stage.”

Yunnielove Foundation President Aref D. Usman expressed his gratitude for the trust and confidence of DOLE, underscoring that the partnership is dedicated to empowering families and communities toward self-reliance.

He further assured that the livelihood projects will be implemented efficiently and with full transparency.

“Through this collaboration, DOLE Calabarzon and the Yunnielove Foundation strengthen their shared mission of promoting inclusive growth, sustainable livelihood, and community empowerment across the region,” Aquino emphasized. (DOLE 4A)
