The Municipality of Magallanes celebrated its 110th Founding Anniversary and Muscovado Festival on March 12, 2026, with the theme โ€œPayak na Pinagmulan, Maunlad at Maningning na Pamayanan.โ€

One of the highlights of the morning program was the Muscovado Festival cooking competition, where participants prepared creative dishes using muscovado as the main ingredient, promoting one of Magallanesโ€™ known local products. In the afternoon, barangays competed in a kubo-building contest using coconut and bamboo materials, symbolizing appreciation for the hardworking farmers who contribute to the municipalityโ€™s local economy.

Representing the Department of Trade and Industry, DTI Cavite Business Counselor Mhea Alindugan served as one of the judges for both the cooking and kubo-building competitions, highlighting the agencyโ€™s continued support in promoting local products and strengthening micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
